Lendlease announces new healthy living programme with SportsInspired

LENDLEASE ANNOUNCES NEW HEALTHY LIVING PROGRAMME WITH SPORTSINSPIRED

SportsInspired is a charity designed to provide insight into the benefits of sport and how it relates to both physical and mental health for young people (Primary and Secondary schools). In the process they hope to bring communities together and bridge the gap between fun and education.

The pair, who have worked together before, will launch a new programme in Haringey whose primary aim is to the tackle inactivity, obesity, and poor mental health that currently exists among Haringey’s children and young adults.
The programme will be impacting more than 200 students in two primary schools – Brook House and St Frances De Sales – and Duke’s Aldridge secondary school.

This new 2-year effort will educate students on the importance of good nutrition and physical activity, and how they can implement this knowledge into their lives. There will also be a fun day-long sports festival at Tottenham Green Leisure Centre to reinforce their learning through a range of sports and activities. This will be continued in the form of a new sporting club and nutritional encouragement in each of the schools, working to support their experience with SportsInspired and Lendlease.
